What Is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic may very well be one of the least understood philosophies of performance, function, potential, and life. Most people come in for neck pain, back pain, headaches, or some other symptom. While chiropractic can be helpful when symptoms are present, there is so much more to it than that.
If you're using chiropractic only for symptom relief, you're getting about 1% of what it has to offer. The other 99%? That's your performance, your function, your potential—your life.
Chiropractic Is Based on a Few Simple Ideas
Your body is designed to function
A newborn baby seems small and fragile, but inside that body is the ability to turn food into living tissue, heal cuts and bruises, adapt to the environment, fight off illness, and live a full, productive life. That intelligence is built in from day one.
Your nervous system runs everything
Every organ, gland, and cell in your body depends on messages carried to and from your brain. Those messages coordinate everything so each part benefits the whole. A life without those messages is no life at all.
Interference reduces function
A paralyzed person has lost function because of damage to the nervous system. But even slight interference can reduce your body's ability to function at its fullest potential. It doesn't have to be dramatic to matter.
A subluxation is that interference
When the bones of your spine (vertebrae) misalign and interfere with your nervous system, that's a vertebral subluxation. It reduces coordinated function. And most of the time, you won't feel it.
Chiropractors correct subluxations
That's the job. Locate, analyze, and correct vertebral subluxations so the messages can flow. When the interference is removed, your body can function the way it was designed to.
Why This Matters for You
If you and your family aren't seeing a chiropractor regularly, you're not doing everything you could for your life. Not because you need to be "fixed"—but because your body deserves to function at its best, free from interference.
That's what straight chiropractic is about. Not treating symptoms. Not chasing disease. Just removing interference so your body can be all it was created to be.
